Our Fairytale Adventures

We just got back today from a wonderful vacation to Walt Disney World!  It was awesome!  I can't even begin to do justice in recapping just how much fun we had, so I'm going to toss up A LOT of pictures here.  One of the best things, though, was our "royal breakfast" with Cinderella and the other princesses on our final day.  We climbed up a spiral staircase in Cinderella's Castle to a royal feast while the princesses came to our table to mingle with Aurora.  She was definitely star struck and had a great time!  The show "Mickey's Philharmagic" had her busting up over and over again as Donald hit every part of her funny bone with his antics.  Of course, "it's a small world" never fails to amaze and we had to ride it several times for her to take it all in.  The awe-struck look on her face as we rode the tea cups, her first ride, made the whole trip worth it!  I think she'll be dreaming of this trip for quite a while...

    

      

  


  
  
  


  
  

Songwriting Sensation!

I'm not sure where this song comes from, she just started singing it one day.  I'm sure it's inspired by one of her favorite movies, "Barbie and the Diamond Castle".  Here it is, for your listening/viewing enjoyment:  Aurora performing her new song, "Diamond in the Castle".

Happy Mardis Gras!

Galveston loves Mardis Gras, and with the celebration comes the carnival!  Aurora has been asking to ride a ferris wheel for quite a while, so it was nice to finally get on one (we had one nearby in Kemah, but it was knocked over in the hurricane and still isn't up and running).  She did well at the games, too, and walked away with a new kitty and iguana.  She had a blast!

Here are a few more pictures of Aurora. Grandpa Goat came for a visit and Aurora had a great time getting to play with him! She's becoming quite a reader as well, as seen here reading her Bible and then with Grandpa reading with her. Play-doh is one of her new favorite pastimes and she's been hard at work getting the hang of her new trike. Of course, like her daddy, Mario Kart on the Wii seems to be a favorite!
